France de Ranchin always wanted her art to be near, to everyday life. When she left the Institute of Fine Arts and after a few exhibitions, she oriented her work toward print media. In october 1984, she set up the illustration service of Liberation, a leading French newspaper. She then left the newspaper to devote her time to largescale projects. She coined the term « labyrinths ». From 1995 to 2000, Air France Magazine published each month a famous painting which she had transposed into a labyrinth. She exhibited Van Gogh labyrinths, she designed works and she also creates works in granite for private and public area.
